John Announces Weekend Cruise Getaway for February 2008!
There's no better place to enjoy the wonderful weather of February than the Bahamas. With that in mind...
We are pleased to announce the first ever John Mayer-hosted cruise: The Mayercraft Carrier.
The Mayercraft Carrier is a 3-day Caribbean cruise that sets sail on February 1, 2008 from Miami, FL and visits Freeport, Bahamas before returning on February 4, 2008. The cruise will feature sets by John in nightclub-like settings as well as performances by a dozen or so other hand-picked artists. All of this takes place aboard the Carnival Victory, a member of the Carnival fleet that includes all the luxurious amenities Carnival is known for such as a full service spa, fine dining, a casino, and much more.
Availability is limited and as a Local 83 member you will have the benefit of booking before the general public. Cruise fare starts at $699 per person based on double-occupancy. Keep an eye on MayercraftCarrier.com. In the coming weeks we will be launching a full-blown website for detailed information.
Replace the mittens with suntan lotion, the resolutions with buffet feasts, and your car in traffic with a 90,000-ton cruise ship full of rock bands!
See you aboard.

No, I am not even considering going. Like I said, I have my limits.

If she is pregnant and he is staying with her because of it, I will shoot myself in the head.
They are obviously in some sort of disagreement and/or emotional conversation.
Cry on, bitch. He's just not that into you

i have found my dream home
It's called The House Above the Morning Clouds. Right now, it's on the market for $39 million. Sounds reasonable. I saw this house on this HGTV show called Big Splash. It was all about really cool pools. This pool is my favorite and the house is amazing too! Maybe one day...

you know what I hate? (among other things...)
Lately I have been hearing about the the 30th anniversary of things, like for example, the release of Star Wars. Why does this bother me? That movie came out in the same year I was born!!!!!!!! Enough with the 30th anniversaries. I can't deal. There is even a big ol convention thing in LA right now celebrating 30 years of Star Wars. Am I going to get a convention? NOOOO.
See, I enjoy living in denial. Mostly about my age, but denial of most other things too. But when it's everywhere on the TV and whatnot, I can't ignore it.
The worst part... I was planning on a big trip to celebrate my 30th birthday (A trip with the whole family to California - which is where I was born - and go to Disneyland! What better place to celebrate being old then where you can be a kid?) and now I really don't think it's gonna happen financially. So that's a bummer too. All I'm saying is...
ENOUGH WITH THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF - CRAP!

This is the funniest episode of Dexter's Lab - EVER!! I love this so much. I needed a good laugh today. If you've got 6 minutes and 46 seconds, watch this and you'll know why I love it.

Jessica Simpson pregnancy rumor
The National Enquirer is running an article that claims that “friends” are wondering if Jessica Simpson is pregnant. Commentors here have speculated the same thing in regards to her weight gain, and it sounds to me like they’re just looking at the pictures. They use the picture of those terrible high-waisted pants she was wearing and say that her boobs are getting big and that people are talking...
Dear Lord. Will this ever end?

John Mayer Performs Raunchy Stand-Up
Despite his recent ups and downs with Jessica Simpson, John Mayer apparently still has his sense of humor: He performed a stand-up comedy gig Saturday night, which was caught on tape and posted on YouTube.
During the performance, at New York City's Comedy Cellar, he pokes fun at single life, his own music – and sings a raunchy ballad as part of a joke about Carrie Underwood's hit "Before He Cheats."

answer: reading about death row inmates, that's how
question: How can you scare the crap out of yourself when you are home alone and not feeling well?
It's all about death row and the death penalty around here today. AZ executed their first death row inmate in 7 years, today at 10am. (read about it here.) After reading about that, I started getting sucked in and reading about the other 100 or so death row inmates we have. The newspaper website has a whole section about it. I got sucked in reading about the crimes. I didn't realize how badly I was freaking myself out until I started hearing sounds in the house. I was really just wind and stuff, but I started to get scared being here alone. I got off the computer, but was still really freaked out. I am better now. I watched some TV to distract myself. Watched some Little People, Big World and some DIY Scrapbooking. I am all better now. Meaning not so freaked out. But my headache (that I woke up with and kept me from work today) seems to finally be on its way out.
and now, a side comment on the death penalty... I am opposed to it, strongly. I am Catholic and part of our religion is to be against killing in any way. Abortion, death penalty and killing in general. I am not a "practicing Catholic," meaning I don't go to church every week. But this belief is one I still hold true. I am pro-life, but I am very understanding of the circumstances that would lead someone to have an abortion. As someone who is having difficultly conceiving, I cry at the thought of someone killing their unborn child, but I get why they consider it. But regarding the death penalty... It makes no sense to me. I understand that crime victims families feel like having the criminal put to death is justice. But how can you, in good conscience, wish death on another human being? To me, that would make you no different than the criminal. They didn't value the life of their victim and took that life. The death penalty is the same thing. Don't you believe that being in prison for the rest of their life is more punishment than death? I guess I have never been in the situation where I would have to make that decision and I hope I never will be, but I cannot support the death penalty. Not just because I am Catholic and supposed to be opposed to it, but because I really truly think killing a person for their actions is just as bad as the actions they committed in the first place. Ok, off the soap box...

Hello New Day
In an attempt to again prove that I enjoy other music other than John Mayer, I share with you my love for The Refreshments... er, The Peacemakers.
It's not really complicated. In 1994, Roger Clyne, Brian Blush, Art "Buddy" Edwards and PH Naffah formed a group in Tempe, AZ called The Refreshments. I loved them! A local band with an amazing and fun sound. They released their first studio album, Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy in 1996. I saw them in concert that same year. It was, hands down, the funnest show I have ever been too. I was at the perfect age for enjoying their music. It was all about fun. I had (and still have!) a t-shirt with the album cover on the back. I loved wearing that shirt and making people nervous with the chic on the back! It is sad, but The Refreshments didn't last long. They broke up in 1998. I guess they figured since I was leaving town, they shouldn't stick together either. No, I know that's not it. But after the break up, Roger and PH joined together with Danny White and Steve Larson and became RCPM or Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers. Buddy went on to become a writer. Check out his book. I bought it and have a signed copy. It's good. Anyway... the music. Since I did leave AZ in 1998, I never really got into RCPM, but I did get the first album,Honky Tonk Union. Being on the other side of the country, it is hard to keep up with a local band. RCPM was not completely local. Just like The Refreshments, they tour nationwide. But I was out of the scene and lost track of them. Last year, I was playing Fizzy Fuzzy and decided I needed to get caught up on RCPM. I bought all the albums I had missed and have been listening to them. Well, RCPM released a new album in March. I have not bought it yet, but I will soon. The first song of the new album is called Hello New Day. Love it! You can check out the studio version here. You can also listen to two other tracks, Maybe We Should Fall In Love and Contraband
Also, here is a live version of Hello New Day, from a February show in Tucson (with the lyrics below):
Hello love, hello fear
Hello loneliness, join us all here
Hello funeral and ice-cold beer
Hello new day!
Hello baby teeth, hello grey hair
We try to grow grass now there's weeds everywhere
Hello whale, hello bum, hello just and unfair
Hello new day!
Well I feel lucky, I feel cool
What can I say?
Every time I give away a dollar or two
I find three more on the way
Now for better or worse, the whole Universe
Is singing along with every song I play
Hello new day!
Hello raindrop, hello sea
Hello jungle, leaf on the tree
I thought I was a bigger man, now look at me!
Hello new day!
Hello revolution, hello Che
Hello execution, hello CIA
Hello solution, it's our turn to play
Hello new day!
Well I feel lucky, I feel cool
What can I say?
Every time I give away a dollar or two
I find three more on the way
Now for better or worse, the whole Universe
Is singing along with every song I play
Hello new day!
Hello friends, hello foes
Wounded Knees, Super Bowls
Hello highs, hello lows
Custers and Geronimos!
Hello blessing, hello curse
Hello cradle, hello hearse
Could there be any stranger Universe?
Hello new day!
RCPM still plays Refreshments songs and for that reason, I need to go see them live sometime. I am more a Refreshments fan, but I like RCPM too.
Plus, I have always had a crush on Roger Clyne...

i am lucky
I have family that cares about me and is willing to help me when I really need it. I appreciate this more than they will ever know. Knowing that I am loved and can go to my family in my times of need, makes all the chaos alot more bearable. Thank you family. Each of you help me in your own way and I love you all for it.

He finally dumped her ass! Then the bitch dyed her hair back to blonde! I cannot get over that. I am happy that my hotness finally woke up. I can't wait to see him in 24 days. Single, new hair! Hotter than ever!! -------->
If you don't know what I'm talking about... here you go.
so I'm home
Back to life. Back to reality. I have been up since 5:15am EST. Which is 2:15am MST. It is currently 6:04pm MST and I am dead to the world. I took a little nap this afternoon, but I spent most of the day after arriving home, watching TV and organizing photos. I am still not even unpacked. I will be doing that next. My flight this morning was very uneventful. I seem to be lucky in travel. Fast security lines (long, but quick), no issues with checking of luggage or retrieval of luggage. I am glad my flight today was not full. I hate having someone crammed into the middle seat. I managed to sleep for about an hour or so. I slept in about 20 minute spurts. My neck is a little sore from all that. Anyway. I had to good time visiting my sissy. And I am really glad I got to meet her boyfriend. He is a really cool guy and he treats my sister well. What more can you ask for? I hope that he is able to make it to AZ sometime to see my part of the world and that maybe I will be able to make it his part of the world one day too. I am glad I went on this trip. There was drama on the home front and I was all stressed about it, but I needed to get away for a minute and relax. I think I can somehow deal with what is happening in real life better now. Maybe. We shall see. I am gonna go try to deal with my suitcase now...

overwhelmed
I feel like I am on an emotional roller coaster ride right now. I am visting my sister and will be here until tomorrow morning. It has been fun here. I have been very distracted, though. One minute I am having lots of fun and laughing and the next I am uptight and stressed about what is happening in my real life. Being away from home does not feel like real life. There are things happening that I hoped I would be able to forget about for a few days, but it hasn't happened. With my husband's work issues and money being a major issue right now, I feel like I am overwhelmed. My husband's work issue effect me, because he is considering leaving his current employer after what went down this week. The stress of finding another job and him being happy with it is very overwhelming. Plus, my car needs work to pass emissions. Plus, we have no funds right now and we are trying to get out of debit. Can't really do that when you have no money in the first place. I can't do anything about it from here and there is nothing I could do about it if I were home, either. I just feel guilty being here. Emotions up and down. I am stressed about flying home tomorrow. I have to leave really early to catch my flight. I hate dealing with airports and in the mood I am in, I hate it even more. I am really trying to have fun and my sister and sheepish are making it fun, but I am overwhelmed. I hate this feeling.
At least I took some cool pictures yesterday. Click on this one to see more.

last night
There is drama at Chris's work. His boss was forced to resign on Monday. Drama. Drama! I really don't want to get into it. The crazy thing is, yesterday was his bosses 40th birthday. How shitty is it to be let go the day before your 40th birthday? suckage all around. But the dinner that was planned for him still happened. Significant others were invited and I like hanging out with (most) his co-workers. It used to seem like family, but the office is growing so large that I don't know everyone anymore. Anyway... We went to a place called Fate. It is in an old house, so it's really small. We were a party of 18 people and took over 80% of the place. We ate some yummy foods. We had a sampler and ate it family style. Of the appetizers we had: Pork Pot Stickers, Fried Tofu Wedges Vegetarian, Saigon Egg Rolls and Thai Chicken Salad. Of the entrees we had: House Dynamite, Pad Thai Noodles, and Thai Coconut Curry. The curry was the BEST!! The pad thai was not that great. But the rest was really good. I even got Chris to try the tofu! The whole dinner was bitter sweet. Chris will miss Brian tremendously. I will miss him too. He is a great guy. Here are some blurry photos: (I was trying to be subtle and not use the flash, but once it went off accidentally... The lighting was terrible. Really bright outside and dark inside.)
dirty
I have to talk about this... It's about the Suns and those low down, DIRTY Spurs. Over the weekend, Amare Stoudemire accused the Spurs of being a dirty team. A Spurs player, Bruce Bowen, intentionally kicked him in the shin while he was making a shot. Amare was not hurt, but he could have been and for another player to intentionally attempt to injure another seems plain dirty to me. So, that was in game 2. Amare made the statement about the Spurs being dirty after that game. Well in game 3 the other night, you would think that if you were accused of being a dirty player and team, you would make your best effort to prove that comment wrong, especially if you disagree with it the way the Spurs did. No so much. Bruce Bowen intentionally kneed Steve Nash in the groin. There is no doubt that it was intentional. It also seemed, during all of game 3, that the Spurs were fouling hard and being overly aggressive. Basically being the dirty bastards we know them to be. All they did was prove Amare right. But that was not the worst of it. The dirtiest thing was in game 4, when Robert Horry of the Spurs intentionally fouled Steve Nash by body checking him into the scorers' table. This led to Raja Bell coming up to Horry and confronting him about it. Horry then threw his forearm into Raja's neck and Raja reacted by pushing him back. Steve Nash got up and came up to confront Horry for what he did and by this time the refs and coaches were in the middle making sure to stop the "fight." I use the word fight loosely, because it was not a fight. It was one dude being an ass and intentionally trying to hurt people. Then others dudes standing up for their teammate and friend. Raja ended up getting technical foul for defending himself. Horry was ejected from the game. But the scariest part (other than Steve potentially getting hurt) was that Amare and Boris Diaw got up off the bench and started coming over to where Steve was down on the ground. The coaches stopped them from getting anywhere close to what was going on, but just by doing what they did, there would be consequences. And those came down yesterday. Horry was suspended for 2 games and Amare & Boris each suspended for 1 game. What in the crap is that!! Horry caused all this. Amare & Boris were just doing what any friend/teammate would have done. They didn't make the situation worse or throw any punches. Their actions had no effect on what happened in any way. But the NBA has this rule: 12-A-VII-c: During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench. Violators will be suspended, without pay, for a minimum of one game and fined up to $35,000. The suspensions will commence prior to the start of their next game... Define altercation. Or let webster: a noisy heated angry dispute; also : noisy controversy. That if awfully vague, don't you think. Choosing the use the word "altercation" in your rule book means that the decision of what an "altercation" is and when this rule should apply is left up the the decision makers in the NBA. I know they reviewed the tape of what happened and decided the punishments based on that. But what do they consider an altercation? Intentionally kicking someone in the shin? Intentionally kneeing someone in the groin? Or in that same game Francisco Elson made a dunk and was hanging on the rim. James Jones of the Suns was standing underneath the rim and when Elson came down, he landed on top of James. Tim Duncan, who was on the bench at the time, apparently believed the two were in an "altercation" so he walked on the court and stood on the 3-point line for awhile, then went back to the bench. Was that not a violation of the rule? Why was he not suspended? They deemed Tim Duncan's actions "inconsequential because he didn't escalate things." He was not punished in any way. Tell me how did what Amare and Boris did "escalated things?" It did nothing! AUGH!!! I know that I am a Suns fan. I will support this team forever, but what happened and the punishments that resulted are unfair. Wrong and unfair. I am not the only one who feels this way:
In the end, wisdom suspended - Woody Paige - Denver Post
Suspended disbelief - Jack McCallum - SI.com
Suns-Spurs ruling shows double standard is at play - Ian Thomsen - SI.com
And many more. I could go on, but I won't. I have made my point. The Spurs are jerks and they play dirty. And the saddest part of this whole thing is... this is what the Spurs coach said about what happened on in game 4:
"It was just an end-of-game foul, and Steve fell down. I didn’t think it was such a big deal."
Not a big deal? Thank God the Suns won the game. The series is tied and game 5 is tonight. My boys will show up. They will play with the maturity and sportsmanship that they have always had. Being without Amare and Boris is going to be difficult. I might even determine the outcome of this series. And that is saddest part. The refs are determining who wins, instead of players. And that is just wrong, and dirty.

uh oh, not another one
I know I am WAY slow on this... but I am sorta crushing on Channing Tatum. I seem to have a thing for potentially gay, pretty boy actors (see the gorgeous and oh so necessary photo of Went, below). See, I don't normally go for the big, ripped dudes, like Channing. But his hotness can't really be denied. He does seem like a total jerk in real life and I don't usually go for that either. But again, he is steamy. I saw the end of She's the Man, the other day and have been crushing on him ever since. Don't ask me why I watch those crap movies. I just get stuck watching them. I watched A Cinderella Story and while back and crushed on Chad Michael Murray for a while too. This too shall pass. Just shoot me when I admit to renting Step Up.
Oh, Wentworth.
You will always be my favorite sexually ambiguous boy!

Nash headlines All-NBA first team
Steve Nash was a unanimous selection to the All-NBA team Thursday and was joined by Phoenix Suns teammate Amare Stoudemire on a squad made up entirely of Western Conference players.
I also keep forgetting to mention this...
Bell named to All-Defensive team
But when are they gonna announce the MVP??? I have a hunch Dirk Nowitzki is gonna win, but you never know. I am dying to find out!

But when are they gonna announce the MVP??? I have a hunch Dirk Nowitzki is gonna win, but you never know. I am dying to find out!
blech
Today has been dumb and sorta sucky. Nothing too terrible, just dumb. I had to get up earlier to go to the dentist. My gums bleed when he flosses. He gives me crap about it. "Do you floss?", he says. Um, yes. He said my teeth are fine, I just need to floss more. Ok, whatever. Then I tell him about the pain I have in my mouth. Right where my gums attach to my face, underneath my nose. It has been hurting and I just thought I scraped it or maybe irritated it while brushing my teeth. Nope. It's an ulcer. He said that it should go away in about 7-10 days, but I will continue to have severe pain for a few days. Terrific. Apparently these mouth ulcers are not a big deal and most people call them canker sores. But whatever. This hurts. I can't even touch my face without it hurting. It's not THAT bad, but its just annoying. So after the dentist, I am all upset. Oh and I have a cavity. And it's not even really where I thought there might be one. I will have to go back to deal with that later. He didn't have time to do it today. Plus, my dentist on the other side of town, over a half hour away. I made an appointment. Ok, so driving home I tried to call my loved ones to discuss the ulcer and no one was available. Chris was dealing with plotter issues. Mom's work was using the back up machine to answer their phone, so I couldn't reach her. And when I tried to call my sister at her boyfriends, it seemed like someone answered the phone, didn't say anything and hung up. I didn't try again. I was bummed. I did finally reach my mom and was able to vent my frustration. While I was out this morning I had to do two other errands. Take the truck for emissions and go to the post office. The emissions place is right off the freeway at the exit that I take to go home, so it was right on the way. The truck passed without any problems. Hell, they didn't even put it through the same testing that my car had to go thru. They tested like two things (one of which was called "gas cap test"), took my $27.75 and sent me on my way. So at least that was less eventful. The post office is also on my way home and by the time I got there, I was feeling a little better. The parking lot was almost empty and I was glad to see that. As I was parking, I noticed people coming out of the post office and looking all angry. One lady rolled down her window and said that the power was out in the post office. What the holy hell. I was bummed, but whatever. I go to leave and discover the light I had just turned at to get into the post office was out too. It wasn't a minute ago. Such a pain. The light is at a "T" intersection and I was on the wrong part of the t, turning left. No one, in either direction was stopping. I had to wait a long time to turn left once the traffic cleared. I decided I needed to do something to save the day. I went and rented some movies. It's gonna be like a million degrees this weekend (ok 106, but still) and I know I will not want to do much. So, I rented Little Children, Dreamgirls, and Smokin Aces. Should make for a fun weekend. Other than the freaking ulcer and not getting to mail some packages, the day has been ok. I told you that it was all just dumb stuff. But there is one more thing that has made the day suck. See, back in March I had that whole John Mayer ticket drama. Well, a few weeks ago I post the extra set of tickets on ebay. They sold and I was very happy. I didn't try to make any money on them, I just wanted to get my money back. Well since they sold, the freak who bought them has been harassing me. "When are you gonna mail the tickets?" Over and over, he asks. I explain to him that I made it clear in my ebay posting that I will mail them as soon as I receive them. I have not received them from where I bought them, so I cannot mail them. I did this once before and the girl who bought them was nothing but nice and understanding. But this guy is a total douche. His latest email about it was today. He says, "This is so frustrating to me!" Um, dude. What can I do? I told you I will mail them when I get them! You want me to make them magically appear? I haven't gotten my own tickets either, so chill the f&%* out! I can't handle this guy. His emails are like little bombs and wreck my day. You will have the tickets before the show. Why do you need them over a month ahead? AUGH! Blech. Whatever.

we support our team!
Suns won last night. Not just won, but blew the Spurs away. And at last nights game, everyone was wearing bandaids on their noses to support Steve Nash. (A radio station was giving them away.) He ended up getting 6 stitches in his nose.
Love it!
Love the Suns!
Oh, I keep forgetting to mention the arrival of Dia Bell. Raja Bell's wife had their first baby on May 2nd. Dia is Raja's middle name and also means "champion" in West African. No pictures yet, but hopefully soon.

Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People
The hotness made the list, so he had to go to the party last night. Trashy was not with him, thank god. She doesn't know what TIME magazine even is. Here are some pictures of him with some cool people. John Edwards and America Ferrera. Posting them just because I like to look at him. (And the first one shows the haircut better from the side.)

i am excited
I just decided last week that I am going to see my sister. She is not at her home right now. She is staying with her boyfriend in a far off land. But she is going back to her home next week and her boyfriend is coming back with her. So, since I have not met the boyfriend, I thought it would be a good time for me to go out to see her. She lives far from me. Actually, she's closer to me at her boyfriend's home, then she is at her home. But anyway. Point is, I am leaving next Thursday to see my sister and meet her boyfriend. I am excited! Totally excited!
how could i resist?
The hotness cute his hair:
Maybe you can't tell, but its short in the back. Love it. I liked the long hair too. Whatever. Face it. I would like it no matter what.

why do i post this junk?
I hate her. I hate her. I hate her. She is such trash. What is wrong, John? We need to have another talk. She is not getting better. She is getting worse. This was last night:
What the holy hell is this about? Stole the photo (i mean, borrowed) from perez hilton. Jessica is such trash. Want proof? If the photo wasn't enough, how about this:
from TMZ.com
An silver-sheathed Jessica Simpson had a little car confusion last night -- when she got into the wrong car outside her NYC hotel!
Jess was bustin' a lot of attitude in a spectacular glittering silver gown, pouting for cameras before getting into a black Escalade to take her to the Costume Institute Gala -- only her rented ride was the limo parked just in front of the mistaken SUV.
Simpson's hairdresser/BFF Ken Paves quickly realized Jessica's goof, helping her out of the SUV before it could drive off with the stowaway ditzy pop star. Simpson laughed it off as paps snapped away at the embarrassing incident, saying, "Of course, that happened to me."
Click the TMZ link for video of it. Need more proof?
ok, you asked for it...
Freak show hosted some party for the Pussycat Dolls over the weekend and looked this that. Borrowed that one from perez, too.
I hate her.

The Suns were left battered and bloody. Sure, there were a couple HORRIBLE calls, but that is not what lost the game. In the beginning, I was concerned that the Spurs defense was too much for the Suns. It was. The Suns have to play twice as hard against the Spurs. They can win. They just have to understand that they have to stay tough. I still believe in them. I just wish they had won today's game. What it means is they have to win one game in San Antonio and they have not done that this season. That's a big hill to climb. Keep your heads up, guys. I still love you.
