I am pretty bad about this... but I'll get caught up.
8. I have 3 tattoos. A daisy on my left ankle, a heart on my back and a ladybug on my right foot.
9. I am addicted to television. I have shows that I watch every day. As many of my previous posts have made clear, I love TV and I am very faithful to my shows.
10. I have been watching soap operas since I was a little girl. I remember watching soaps before I was even in kindergarten. I only watch All My Children now. I record it and watch it usually on Fridays.

100 Facts about me in 100 Days: FACT # 7
I love sports. Not playing them. Watching them on television or in person. I love baseball (GO DIAMONDBACKS!), football (GO CARDINALS!) and basketball (GO SUNS! KILL THE LAKERS!)
I watch almost every Diamondbacks game on TV. And next week, I am going to two games in person! On the 2nd, I am going with my dad. And on the 6th, we (Chris and I) are going to the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association gathering at the game. We get to sit in the picnic area and eat food from the 'Nati. Skyline Chili and Graeters Ice Cream. Things you can only get in the 'Nati. I am so excited.

is it strange...
that my DVR knows me so well?
It randomly recorded The Chapelle Show last night and it just so happens to be the episode with John Mayer.
Coincidence? I think not.
But the strangest part is that it's not a TIVO. I know that TIVO's have a function that will recommend shows for you based on what you record. Mine is from the cable company and its not that smart... or is it?

100 Facts about me in 100 Days: FACT # 6
I have lived in 4 states: Arizona, California, Texas and Ohio.
let's clear the air
Sis: I am not mad at you. I have been in a really bad mood lately and should not have been commenting the way I was. Please don't be upset with me.
Randoms who read my blog: Please do not bash members of my family in comments. As you should know, if you have family, you are allowed to be mean to your own family, but as soon as someone else does, you are defensive as hell. I will fight you. I love that other people read my blog, but I will not allow negative comments about my family.
There. That said... I have been going thru a lot lately. Finding out that our friends are going to have a baby really upset me. I want to have a baby, but the time is never right. It will happen hopefully sooner than later. I just didn't realize how upset their happy news would make me. I have been really depressed the last few days. I am truly happy for them. Truly. But here I am. I need to start living in reality. And once you start looking at your reality. I mean really looking at it, sometimes you discover why you were living in denial in the first place. And that's a hard thing. First realizing that you have been living in denial and then to discover that your reality bites too. I know that I am being vague, but I don't want to air that much dirty laundry on this blog. Just understand that I am going thru some difficult shit and I will get thru it. It will just take time.
Lesson learned: DO NOT BLOG WHEN YOU ARE CRYING AND UPSET.

HOW DID THIS SLIP MY MIND?
Now to be clear, the fact that this happened hasn't slipped my mind. What slipped my mind was to blog about it.
On Thursday, I ordered tickets for me and the momma to go see WICKED. September 2. It's a long time to wait, but it will be so worth it. I also bought the novel its based on and the soundtrack. So that way I will be in the know! Can't wait!

100 Facts about me in 100 Days
I was born in West Covina, California. Making me by definition, a true California girl.
In Repair by John Mayer
Too many shadows in my room
Too many hours in this midnight
Too many corners in my mind
So much to do to set my heart right
Oh its taking so long
I could be wrong
I could be ready
Oh but if I take my heart's advice
I should assume, it's still unsteady
I am in repair
I am in repair
Stood on the corner for awhile
To wait for the wind to blow down on me
Hope that it takes with it my old ways
And brings a brand new life upon me
Oh its taking so long
I could be wrong
I could be ready
Oh but if I take my heart's advice
I should assume, it's still unsteady
I am in repair
I am in repair
Ohhhh
Now I'm walking in the park
All of the birds they dance below me
Maybe when things turn green again
It will be good to say you know me
Oh its taking so long
I could be wrong
I could be ready
Oh but if I take my heart's advice
I should assume, it's still unready
Never really ready
I'm never really ready
I'm in repair
I'm not together
But I'm getting there
********************************************
The words seem simple, but I promise with the music you will be brought to tears.

Continuum
Last week, John Clayton Mayer played a secret show at the Hotel Cafe in LA. Some people had the heads up and someone recorded it. I am listening to it as we speak. It is basically most of the tracks from the new album, Continuum. It is supposed to come out in May, but I am thinking its gonna more like June or July. He just finished it. He also blogged about it. It's funny that he said, "You're good at listening to stuff before it makes a record anyway..." And here I sit listening to it. The songs are amazing. For those that care... when the album comes out, check out Waiting on the World To Change and Stop This Train. They will change your life. I am honored to have heard the first live performance of Waiting on the World To Change. In case you forgot, I already posted the lyrics here and a live recording of Stop This Train, here.
Funny quotes from the show:
"And by the way, we're just trying new tunes out. I just wanna play the songs and see if they suck or not. But it's really a moot point now, cuz they're going on the record anyway. I just wanna know how close I came. Someone's taping and everyone will start listening and then I'll be online in my pajamas (inaudible)... [in a funny voice, mocking the message board posters] 'I'm a bit disappointed in these new songs. I thought John was going take a more of a...' Whatever. Whatever direction I didn't take. '...direction. I just think I couldn't hear like say a modern day Jack Johnson or Jason Mraz. I may be wrong.' Ah, ok. Alright. Alright. Alright. I'm just trying to be the 2007 model, you know. Just trying to be music, the 2007 model. That's all. No crazy deviations, just forward. Why is forward just a fucking crazy deviation? It's just forward people. That's all it is. [in a super high pitched voice] It's straight on babies. "
"This album is too fucking good to be arrogant."

I was thinking of doing the 100 facts in 100 days thing. Just wondering if I should bother or would it be a waste.

could this day BE going any slower
...said in my best Chandler Bing.
Augh. My days are dragging like no other lately. I think its because my life is in limbo. I also think that its because its warmer outside and I just want to be enjoying it. Not that I am all about the outdoors, because I am the complete opposite of that. But just because it seems too nice to be cooped up at work. Wouldn't you just much rather be at home, with the doors and windows open? Ah. Excuses abound. Couldn't be that I am just lazy and don't want to go to work.

my latest obession... watermelon
There is a fruit and vegetable market not far from my house. I went there last Friday and got one watermelon. I cut it up and it was all gone within a few days. This past Friday, I went again and this time, as you can see, I got 2.

random bits about TV
- Last night Lake & Michelle got kicked of Amazing Race and I couldn't be happier. I hated them. More than I hated any other couple, ever. I am so glad they are gone. If the hippies had gotten eliminated, I think I would have cried.
- Also last night, the girl from Arizona got kicked of America's Next Top Model. She was really pretty, but she had THE WORST walk ever.
- I am so excited at the possibility of this summer's Big Brother being an all-star version. I can't wait until I get to vote. I love Big Brother and have faithfully watched every season, so I know every one of the potential houseguests. I love to read former BB houseguest Marcellas Reynolds blog. What he said about it is: "Seems Big Brother Season 7 is All Star. Whatever." But you know his ass will be all over the chance to be on it. SO EXCITED!
- I love that VH1 is playing Love Monkey. I never watched it when it was on the first go round, but I am catching it now. Mind you, I have yet to watch an episode, but I have recorded the first 3 episodes that aired on Tuesday and I plan to watch them tomorrow. I did like Ed, so that means I can handle Tom Cavanagh and anything with Jason Priestley must be good. (um, joking) But when I learned that Teddy Geiger was on the show, I was bummed that I missed it. I'll let you know what I think once I watch it.
- Now American Idol really screwed me last night. I was watching all sorts of other shows, so I had it in picture in picture. I popped up the pip box in time to see them showing a clip of Ace's family and friends, Ace crying when it was over and Ace performing. Now without any sound on, one would believe all these things lead up to the fact that Ace was kicked off last night. Then I check online this morning and turns out it was Bucky. I was happily surprised. I don't know if they are doing the kick off episodes differently this year, because I haven't watched one all the way thru. But they really messed with me and I don't like it. Not that I would have cared if Ace left. He sucks now. In fact, I am starting to think they all suck. This season jumped the shark for me. And I also read that Brian May of Queen was not real pleased with the editing. That's funny. At least the are in good company of old dudes with lots of plastic surgery (ie. Barry Manilow and Kenny Rogers.) Note to any other famous performing artists: Don't go on American Idol.
- New shows... I gave Pepper Dennis about 20 minutes and about 10 of those I was not evening sitting watching it, before I cancelled the recording and changed the channel. I am going to give What About Brian a shot. That debuts this Sunday (in Grey's time slot. boo. But only temporarily.) and then goes to Mondays.

And to show you that they are not all great...
This is what I had to deal with yesterday. I was so bright that I had to close my eyes and/or stand with my back to the window. Trust me, this picture does not do the glare justice. It was blinding.

is it spring or what?
more like or what!!
Weatherbug is telling me that it is 94 degrees outside. Yup. Spring is over.
But my beautiful hibiscus is loving the weather. I love that I didn't kill it. I pruned the holy heck out of it because it had been so neglected by the previous owner. I wasn't sure if it would bloom at all this year or ever. But it's slowly coming back. Hooray.

cleaning out my desk
I was casually going through the crap in my desk and boxes of stuff from my old desk that have been packed since starting in glass in October. I threw a bunch of shit away. I was careful not to be too obvious about my reasons for doing this.
Anyway, I found some post-its with customer quotes. I wanted to share them so I can throw them away...
"I was backed into by a parked car." 09/07/05
"The only damage to my car is where she hit my car." 09/14/05
Question: What is the year, make and model of the vehicle?
Answer: "I didn't get the year, but it was a 2003." 09/18/05
Question: Any damage to the wheels?
Answer: "On the outside." 09/19/05
You really can't make this shit up. I will miss the ignorance.
btw: Still no word on the interview. My guess is Friday.

Hello Kitty Pop Tarts
I am up.
Eating a Hello Kitty Pop Tart so that I have food in my stomach because I had to take drugs for my GOD DAMN HEADACHE!!!!!!!!
Since my work life is so up in the air right now (I know I haven't blogged about it, because I am trying not to curse it. I'll talk about it once a decision is made.), I am going to stay home today. I know that Chris will not be thrilled, because I know he enjoys his day alone as much as I enjoy mine. But I will try to stay hidden and not prevent him from doing what ever it was he wanted to do today.
So, I am going to post a few random things for today...
- You need to catch Journey of a Lifetime with Jeremy Piven on the Travel Channel. It is a 2 part documentary (sort of) and it is so good. The first part aired Monday of last week and the second is tomorrow. They are in heavy rerun rotation, so check it out. I heart him so much.
- Don't you hate when you think you have something set up to record on your DVR and then you discover that its not. This is what happened to me last Monday. I normally take my showers early so that my hair has time to air dry (the Teddy Geiger song just popped into my head...). But Monday, I was running late. It was already 7pm and I knew that Prison Break had just started. I told myself that I needed to still get in the shower and I would just rewind Prison Break when I get out. And that way, I would be able to fast forward the commercials. Good plan. Well, I get out of the shower and discover that it was not recording. I was so angry! I missed the first 23 minutes of a very important episode. Yes. 23 minutes. Thank god for the internet because I was able to read a synopsis of that happened, but I still did not get to see it. And we all know how much I love that show. No explanation to why it was not recorded. It just decided not to, I guess. Next time I do that, I better make sure the show is recording before I get in the shower. I have a love/hate relationship with my DVR.
- Chris got this plant nutrient stuff yesterday to try to save some of our plants and he casually came over to me and said, "Here, smell this." So I did. And my God, do I ever regret it. It was THE WORST smelling thing I have ever smelled in my whole life. And I have changed diapers before. I have been to a garbage dump. So, I know nasty smells. This, seriously, was the worst ever. It is organic and made from decomposed god knows what. The smell lingers too. I had to turn on the fans and spray lots of Oust. A billion sprays of the Oust didn't get rid of the smell. It was horrible. I had to stick my face in the can of coffee grounds to try to clear my nasal cavity of the stench. Chris just laughed and laughed. It is still lingering in the house even now. After air freshener, candles, fans and all the doors open all day. I would not wish that smell on my worst enemy.

it's not ONLY about John Mayer
Although, would that be the worst thing?
Anyway. In an attempt to prove that my blog is more than just a shrine, I will talk about one of my other favorite topics. My teeth.
I hate them. I want them all taken out. Now that sounds rash, but I am just tired of all the problems. The strange thing about all the issues I am having is that I brush and floss more now than I ever have in my entire life.
So, here's the latest. I broke a tooth. Let me rephrase... My tooth broke. I was flossing and out pops a piece of tooth. I can't tell if it is a filing that came out or a piece of actual tooth. But it still means that I have a hole in one of my teeth. Good news is, I didn't delay and I am going to the dentist tomorrow. I think I learned my lesson on waiting for dental work. It hurts, sort of. It is nothing compared to the pain I was in with my root canal. I think what hurts is my gums. They are not used to being exposed to the elements. I am dealing with it. But it sucks.

It hurts, sort of. It is nothing compared to the pain I was in with my root canal. I think what hurts is my gums. They are not used to being exposed to the elements. I am dealing with it. But it sucks.

did I mention I love technology?
I think I did. But I will reiterate my feelings on the subject.
Guess what I am currently listening to?
How did you know?
Of course it's a recording of Saturday's show! I love the internet. I love it so much. I can't seem to come down off the high from Saturday's show. I look at the pictures and read the message boards with people's reviews and comments. I am obsessed. More obsessed than before, if that is even humanly possible.
I guess I haven't really posted my review of the show. Since I'm listening to it, I might as well.
Random bits, in no particular order...
- Gravity is my current favorite song. When he sung it, people danced with their significant others. I tried, but he just wasn't into it. But the song (and this is gonna sound really weird, but its true) felt like a hug. In fact, I was hugging myself and swaying. It was a moving experience.
- Over heard while walking to the parking lot: "I wish he would have done some of his old stuff. Stuff I actually knew." And that about sums it up ladies and gentleman. I was hoping that it wouldn't be like that, but no such luck. The crowd really wasn't into it. The people around me just stood there. I was the only one dancing (my ass off, as I previously mentioned). And from what I've read from people in other parts of the crowd, it was the same. People yelling for him to do old songs. Did these people not get the memo that it was the John Mayer Trio and not just John Mayer. Apparently not. At one point, Chris said jokingly, "sing the one about the girlie parts." Hehe.
- Johnny was wearing a hoodie that said 'Speed Kills.' Cute. About 1/3 of the way into the show, he took off said hoodie and that created a stir. There was a t-shirt on underneath, of course. I looked over at Chris and said, "I love you more than anyone." He just laughed and shook his head. He is such a good sport about all this. I some times wonder what I would actually have to do to make him jealous.
- Apparently he forgot the words during Try, but I didn't notice. I guess I was too busy singing along.
- Steve Jordan can play the shit out of the drums. It was awesome when he was so into it that he stood up and played. He threw his drumsticks into the crowd after the show. I hope the people that got them appreciate it.
- Johnny likes his long hair. You can tell. He kept letting it hang all down in his face while he was playing. He would then whip his head back and brush the hair away with one hand. To quote a commenter on j-mayer.org: His hair *melts*
I agree.
- I just found this on one of the message boards about her favorite part of the show: ...this guy I met at the concert behind me going, "Shit man I want to date him"
- As I already mentioned, he sung a new song. It was so awesome. The sound is familiar and (hehe) comfortable, but the lyrics were perfect. He even posted on his myspace about it. Here's what he had to say:

Waiting On The World To Change Lyrics
sang a new song last night...
...spent a long time getting the words right...
...the live recording is hard to hear...
...so that nobody gets confused...
...every letter matters...
waiting On The World To Change
me and all my friends
we're all misunderstood
they say we stand for nothing and
there's no way we ever could
now we see everything that's going wrong
with the world and those who lead it
we just feel like we don't have the means
to rise above and beat it
so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
it's hard to beat the system
when we're standing at a distance
so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
now if we had the power
to bring our neighbors home from war
they would have never missed a Christmas
no more ribbons on their door
and when you trust your television
what you get is what you got
cause when they own the information, oh
they can bend it all they want
that's why we're waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
it's not that we don't care,
we just know that the fight ain't fair
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
and we're still waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting waiting on the world to change
one day our generation
is gonna rule the population
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

my videos are linked
I was checking out the best page for info on John Mayer and what did I find? My videos from last nights show are linked there! I screamed and ran thru the house. Imagine that. I was so excited to be part of that world. I am such a lurker on so many blogs and things, but now I have a little cred. I commented too. Check it out:
j-mayer.org.
I just wished that more of the videos turned out better. I actually found some better videos than mine from a message board, but since they aren't mine, I can't post them. I can only enjoy them myself. They are much better (meaning closer) and are the whole songs. I love technology man.

DUDE!!!!!!
We just got home from the from the show. My feet, legs and back are killing me from standing for like 4 hours, but it was worth it.
I uploaded my pictures. They are really blurry and crappy, but this is the best one:
I also took little videos with my camera. It only records about 10-15 seconds, but still! I will upload a few more later. Here's the best one:
The show was amazing. We had the typical frat boys and drunk boys who think they rule the world and if you have 3 inches in front of you, that's enough room for them and their 3 friends to come and stand. But once the show started, most of that disappeared and I just danced my heart out and I didn't care who was watching. They did almost every song off Try!, a couple covers (that are on the album) and a new song that he said will be on the new album. I have video of that. Let me upload that right quick...
ok here:
It's called Waiting on the World to Change
I really need to go to bed. More later!
