Look!! It's Nick & Daniele from BB8 out on a date! The date was actually a double date with Dick and some scary girl he is dating. I love that they are together. Nick is moving to California to be with her. How awesome is that? I am also glad that Daniele is still talking to her dad. BB8 ruled, y'all!

So-called 'world's biggest fire drill' today in Phoenix

Sixty buildings and 40,000 people.

That's what the Phoenix Fire Department says will be involved in what it's calling the "worlds' biggest fire drill."

The drills began at City Hall this morning will be spread throughout the city all day and through the evening. Sixty buildings have been randomly picked, including 18 downtown and midtown buildings. Some are high-rise structures.

The goal behind the drill is to test evacuation plans and coordinate everyone so they can get out of the buildings without incident.


edited to add: Chris said that had their building's drill at 10:00am and all it did was waste time.

The hotness is dating Minka Kelly from the show Friday Night Lights. Apparently they have been dating for a few weeks. That photo is from Saturday afternoon. Here is one from Saturday night: Ok, the facts are out of the way.
How do I feel about this?
I am surprised by my response.
I am really ok with it. She is a gorgeous girl and much more his type. She seems normal. I don't know much about her and don't watch the show she is on, but she really seems like a better match. I am not dumb. I know that he is an amazing guy and will date many women. He is not sitting around pining for me, that's for sure. I just feel like he deserves someone, for lack of a better word, good.
So, for now, I am ok with it.

That means playoffs. They start on Wednesday against the Cubs. Can't wait. Love baseball in the fall.

we're back

We got back from Palm Springs yesterday around 4:15pm. The drive home was fine (seeing as I did none of it. Thanks dear for driving.), but we were just really tired. We did take one more photo before we left:The trip was nice, but it always seems like you need a vacation when you get back from vacation.

This is me and Chris post dinner...
I came back to the room so that Chris could mingle and drink without me. When I am there with him, I just stand there looking bored. What else can I do? It's work people. They talk about work. So, I came back to the room and made him take this photo before he went back to the party.

We (me & Chris) are currently in Palm Springs, California. We left early this morning around 6:30 and got on the road a little after 7am. We are here for Chris's work retreat. I am just along for the ride! I get to enjoy the resort while Chris has to go to meetings. Bummer for him, awesome for me. I know that I will be spending a lot time by myself, but I am really cool with that. I am looking forward to spending most of tomorrow exploring the property and taking lots of photos. I will post a few here and there while we are here, because we have free internet access, baby!! It's the high life!

this picture is so sad to me

I don't usually talk about the train wrecker that is Britney Spears. I read about it, but don't usually blog about it. But when I saw this photo yesterday, I just got sad. Not for her, but for those babies. Poor 2 year old Sean Preston has to parent and comfort little 1 year old Jayden. Why is she such a train wreck? I will never understand why some people seek out drama. Mild drama, yes. But the things that she does... it's stuff normal people do not do. Most people don't go out wearing just a shirt (I saw a photo of this a few weeks ago.) or anything like the crap she wears. Yes, its LA, its hot. But what's wrong with shorts and a t-shirt? Maybe if she started wearing clothes, I would gain a small amount of respect for her. But she is just crazy. It is so sad that she went and had those babies when she still has so much growing up to do. We all thought that once she divorced K-Fed that she would get her life back together, but the opposite has happened. She is worse then ever. I don't get it at all. She clearly needs help. The last thing I am gonna say on this subject (for not, at least) is that she should not be driving around with those boys in her car, because she is clearly not right... drugs? alcohol? mental problems? Any of those are reasons why she should be driving at all.

Sometimes when I upload my photos to flickr, I look at some of the photos in Everyone's Photos. I really like looking at wedding photos. I found some really pretty photos from a small wedding held in front of a tree. I thought I would steal a couple, because I really like them. I hope the people are ok with it. You have to know that by making the photos public, anyone can really look at them.
